Lhautara Financial & Insurance Services was incorporated on January
7, 1992. Prior to our incorporation, Mr. Nawang Lhautara (native of
Tibet) started as a sales representative with
Transamerica Occidental
Life in May 1975. He was later promoted to a Sales Manager position and
then on to an Associate General Manager. In 1992, he became a General
Agent with
Transamerica and formed
Lhautara Financial & Insurance
Services, Inc. As a leading agency with
Transamerica, we have continued
our success with great SERVICE to thousands of our clients.
About the Founder
When China invaded Tibet in 1959, Nawang Lhautara escaped as a young
child, at age nine, to India, following the same route as His Holiness
the Dalai Lama. After high school in India, Nawang was accepted for
college in the United States. In 1972, he came to America for his
studies and decided to settle in America permanently.
Nawang Lhautara is the founder and president of Lhautara Financial &
Insurance Services, Inc., the only Tibetan-American-owned insurance
agency in North America. Our entire organization is
dedicated to providing the best SERVICE with INTEGRITY to all our
clients.
Nawang is married to Constance Ann Lhautara (retired Los Angeles
Deputy Sheriff). They have been married for more than 29 years and have
two sons and a daughter. Nawang has served on the Board of Los Angeles
Friends of Tibet and as President of Tibetan Association of Southern
California.
Since her retirement, Constance has joined our corporation as Vice
President of Marketing. She has taken on the marketing of competitively
